ABOUT

HANNAH:
- Currently in my 20s
- Struggling to find the perfect balance between
"work (in my case, studying) and play (ie. baking)".
- Learning how not to bake everyday.

I've been fascinated by the world of baking since I was 14: thanks to a very special someone who remains dear to my heart. Since then, it has become my passion and obsession
(well, the obsession part didn't kick in until much later).

It all started with banana chocolate chip muffins. It wasn't much at first: lining the muffin tins with paper cups, adding in the chocolate chips, and the occasional mixing.
Soon, I was able to make them on my own. But I will always treasure that time.

If I remember correctly, the first thing I successfully made by myself was ANZAC biscuits - which is fitting(?) as it reflects where I started baking (in New Zealand!).

ANZAC stands for Australian New Zealand Army Corps, established during WWI.
These biscuits were sent to soldiers abroad because the ingredients did not spoil easily and the biscuits kept well during naval transportation.

Recently, I've started experimenting with yeast (which inspired the name for my blog) -  something I lacked the confidence to try. And surprisingly, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Plus, the feeling of taking bread out of the oven is not quite the same as taking out... brownies. Trust me.

Clearly, I am not a blogger. Nor a great baker. There are literally hundreds of mind-boggling blogs out there. But it makes me happy that someone out there is reading this.

Thank you and come again :)
